"It's a small world after all..."

Why do I continue to be surprised when I get random emails from educators looking to videoconference?

Enter Nicole from Louisiana. Last Monday- I received an email:

"While researching video conferencing I came across your lesson on
descriptive writing to pen pals and the guessing game that follows, how
cute!"

We've now exchanged about 10 emails and had a fabulous phone call last Friday to get Jefferson Parish videoconferencing!

Nicole's busy assembling grant info, I'm drafting teachers and soon we'll be sharing literature circle's before you know it!

Thanks for "finding" me Nicole! Looking forward to working with you!

Meet Mrs. Dewey Decimal!

Ms. Solms's library students at Lincoln Elementary met Mrs. Dewey Decimal via iChat today! Students asked questions such as "why is it important to cite sources?" and were informed by Mrs. Dew as to why her husband invented the coding system! Thanks for the GREAT idea Ms. Solms, and to our friend MaryAnn at the ESC for helping with the connection ;-) !
