WHM IP video testing dates ---
Hey all WHM participants and tech coordinators- JUST IN CASE you're tracking updates on the blog, we will test connections on the following dates from 8:00am-11:30am daily:

Thursday, May 8
You may call in to the following IP during that time to test:

You will see and hear our KUSD Cable Access Channel 20 if you connect successfully.

Post WHM Ideas here!
If you've participated in the Wisconsin History Mystery in the past- I cordially invite you to share your past topics here! We have quite a few new teachers just looking for starting points and I am looking to my WHM veterans to help out.
One popular format is to profile a few famous Wisconsinites or their inventions. Do you know of any of the following famous Wisconsinites?:

William Horlick
Laura Ingalls Wilder
Frank Lloyd Wright

WHM Partner info now sent!
As of today- partner information was emailed to you and the tech contacts you listed.
I ask that you contact your partner NO LATER THAN Friday May 2nd.
When you contact your partner- it's a good idea to tell them where you are located, what mystery you might be planning (what if you were BOTH thinking of doing the Peshtigo Fire???) and any information you can share that might make the connection run smoothly!
Ask your partner if their location is part of their mystery! We don't want to give anything away if it's part of the presentation!

Adventure Kids- SO FAR SO AWESOME!
Two connections done- six to go! Thanks to the students and teachers of Bose Elementary for your great questions, patience and enthusiasm! We connected vis SKYPE with only a few glitches- BUT considering the intricacies of satellite modems and solar power- PHEW!

WHM UPDATE:
WOW- KUSD teacher's ROCK!
Quick update: Monday 5/12 and Tuesday 5/13 KUSD timeslots are full!
Nash Elementary has Monday and I even had to add a 1:30 connection- so if you are a state school looking for a late afternoon connection- this one is golden!
Bose Elementary has Tuesday- all slots!
Other schools that took the bait so far: Stocker, EBSOLA & McKinley.
IF you are a KUSD school still discussing- I don't have to tell you it's booking up. If we have to spill over in to the next week- I think it's a great problem to have!
Keep your eyes here for updates and thanks to those schools who responded so promptly!

KUSD Registration NOW OPEN for WHM 2008!
If you are a KUSD 4th grade teacher- you may now register for the
2008 Wisconsin History Mystery!

For example- If EBSOLA wants 3 classes to participate- they must chose ONE DATE and determine which teacher will take which connection time.
Commitment
When you register, you are committing to a day and time. Your match is based on that commitment. If you give incorrect information or cancel, the class you are matched with will be left without a partner after weeks of preparation. Please double check everything before you register! Make sure you, your coordinator, and your technician are all available for the connection. When a class backs out of this event, it is almost impossible to find another connection for your partner class.
